comfy units

Freedom units are better then commie units. But, well there are allot of dead units that should be depecated for prefix list techonology, with a rather simple suggestion that if you cant devide by 3, or 4 you dont belong in my kitchen. So base 6, prefix list, a mini is 1/6th of the base unit and a very mini is a 1/36th of the unit. A big is 6 base units and a very big is 36 base units.

walk in the rain

You are capable of surviving the elements for 20-minute chunks at a time. You can go feel nature, during a very loud thunderstorm that takes out some tree limbs; and you’ll find it’s fairly trivial when taken in small doses. Camping needs special shit, you’ll be uncomfy because sleep is important, and you’ll be dirty; shits annoying I’m not a naturephile I’m not suggesting that, but I like walking in the middle of the night during “heavy rain” when people will stop and ask if I’m alright.

Unironically antivaxx

When I wrote that blog post that I was “proudly antivaxx” I was mocking that a dictionary thought opposing vax mandates was antivaxx. I’m no longer convinced that isn’t the definition anymore, soooo, I’m for self-ownership to the point of people being able to sell organs and the current bullshit of this escalating pressure to affect mental decisions is so disgustingly unacceptable, give me the title, I’ll take it and wear it happily you fucking cucks.

Composing state machines

After reflecting on my “lerp list” project, I conclude these are not d ranges, or any other model of iterator for that matter. I always knew I abused the interface; but I think my ideas on the subject have cystlized on the matter, I often make state machines and while community interfaces are nice, honestly truely wonderful I do just eventually learn the names, I want to make things that just won’t fit.

debate site

Ceasefire.net disappeared a while ago, less wrong banned me after 2 posts… I’m in need of a debate site. I think you need 3 main things: No bullshit karma system, making inarticulated disagreement invisible and therefore irrelevant Moderation that cares only about prevent personal attacks UI/design that supports long-form “quote response” discussion This apparently is unprofitable but I adore it so much.

Steno update

Steno and its consequences have been disastrous for my typing speed. I have written scripts to generate my own finger spelling, sybols, and homophones disabiuation. my original fear that this is over optinized realtime seems verified with how finger spelling and homophones where done. I’m using a layout with 4 mod keys instead 2, but im feeling like 7 should be in my future. Plz be patient, I’m MAGA learning steno.

dice seximal

I believe seximal should be taught to children. You can finger count to 36 easily, and the time’s tables are fairly small and you could probably start teaching them to preschoolers in a way I don’t think the 12 by 12 one could be, 6 is an anti-prime. Modulus and division as concepts should also be smaller to get it into the minds of children earlier. And maybe you could use dice in classrooms for math while children are still struggling with writing.

gender neutral she

I HATE “gender neutral she”. It sounds prissy and academic. If you are so far gone in the social justice to want to change language away from “he”, use “singular they” it sounds natural and is actually understood to be gender neutral. If you want to be formal use “he/she” or “s/he”. If you want to be clear/traditional use “he”. “Gender neutral She” sounds like you an extremist feminist who thinks this minor linguistical detail is a grave injustice to women and you wish to inflict it on men.

wishlist for an overcooked editor

So, to write this blog I use word grinder + cool retro term, and its ok. but resently I found textreme and tried it out hopeful it was better. It wasnt… as a text editor it was lacking basic features, an inablity to open a text file from the command line, so I couldn’t slot it into my scipts. But its got me thinking about what I want, its not quite simplictity or a distraction free editor, I want something memey, A “tetris effect” of a text editor; or an overcooked editors as I decided to coin with the title.

sunzones

So, time zones and daylight savings, what’s the deal with that. Well, there are 3 fundamental details to the discussion: Long-distance coordinated time is valuable. Humans are willing to care about this standard over their own health, i.e. people don’t change their alarms the day before daylight savings and tell their bosses “nah” west side of time zones have higher rates of sleep-related issues. The sun moves across the surface of the earth in a distinctly unhelpful organic way.
